Cynthia and George Moss aren't the first to see their tried-and-true recipe go from a favorite gift to friends to a specialty item on store shelves.
There are literally thousands of success stories similar to this - a sauce that a barbecue master finally bottled; a roll recipe that went into mass production; a drink mix that made making a Bloody Mary a matter of pour and stir. Products that catch on with the public after humble beginnings seem to have wonderful stories behind them.
The Mosses' story began with Cynthia, as the mother of three young daughters, made fudge for friends and her children's teachers as a holiday gift. The fudge recipe was one she clipped from a magazine.
